A 50 year old Indian national has been indicted in the US over alleged methamphetamine trafficking from a pizza restaurant in California. Federal agents reportedly recovered more than 40 pounds of meth, firearms and cash during a search.

A federal grand jury in California has indicted Kawal Preet Singh, 50, in connection with alleged methamphetamine trafficking from a pizza restaurant in Dinuba. According to US court documents, Singh operated a Round Table Pizza outlet and allegedly used the premises to distribute wholesale quantities of the drug. The case came to light following an investigation into organised crime activity in California’s Central Valley. Singh was identified as a subject during the probe, after which federal authorities carried out searches of his residence and business on August 18, 2026. During the searches, investigators seized more than 40 pounds of methamphetamine, along with three firearms and over $10,000 in cash, according to the US Department of Justice.

Authorities allege that the firearms were possessed in connection with the suspected drug trafficking operation. Singh has been charged with distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intention of distributing it, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The charges were announced after the federal grand jury returned the indictment. The scale of the alleged drug seizure has made the case significant for investigators looking into organised criminal networks operating in the region. Federal authorities are examining Singh’s alleged activities as part of a wider effort targeting drug trafficking and other organised crimes in California’s Central Valley.

If convicted on the drug trafficking charges, Singh could face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life imprisonment, along with a potential fine of as much as $10 million. The firearm related charge carries an additional mandatory minimum of five years, which would be served consecutively to any other sentence. The investigation was conducted by the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations. The case is being prosecuted by the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California. The prosecution is also part of the US Homeland Security Task Force initiative, which focuses on investigating and prosecuting criminal cartels, foreign gangs and transnational organised crime networks. However, the allegations have not yet been proven in court. The US Department of Justice has stressed that Singh is presumed innocent unless and until he is found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
